Original is 8x10. I love the simplicity of the Sweetbay Magnolia, unlike their larger cousins, these trees grow smaller as do their blossoms. The birds also love their red cones in the fall. I also painted a similar painting of a gardenia bloom with the intent that they could be purchased as a set.
The original painting is available for sale. It was painted on a canvas board and has had a UV protectant applied. The original will need to be framed.
Heather is a fine artist and photographer, who loves the challenge of painting as realistically as she can. Her favorite subjects are birds and flowers, but she also enjoys painting just about anything and everything in nature. After almost 30 years working in various graphic design, web design, marketing, and sales groups for large and small corporations, Heather decided it was time to get out of the rat race and focus on what she really loves: creating art in many forms and media.
